The practise was founded by Des Laycock in 1956 and bought by Stef Kriel in 1977.

From that time it has showed exceptional growth thanks to his dedication, insight and a philosophy of continuous improvement by education and technology.

In 1991 Fanie Kriel joined the practise after spending one year in the Ophthalmology department at 1 Military hospital.

Together with a dedicated team of staff members and cutting edge technology, we strive towards “Excellence in Eyecare”.

We were joined by Brett Newcombe in July 2011. He completed his Optometry degree at the University of the Free State.
